Anna shapes the strategic vision and growth of CfEY alongside the Chief Executive, driving forward CfEY’s presence and impact in the sector. She specialises in helping organisations at a strategic level, increasing the impact they have on disadvantaged young people. She undertakes research into the barriers young people and schools face, focusing particularly on teacher recruitment and retention, flexible working and leadership development.
She spent the early part of her career in Lewisham training in one of the country’s first sponsored academies before becoming a school leader in Norwich. She has trained teachers and been a youth worker. Anna has also been part of Ofsted’s Curriculum Review Panel and has recently finished a secondment with them. She is part of the Academic Advisory Group for the Ambition Institute, is a trustee of the charity FSSE and is a Clore 2019 Fellow.
