Ed Cooney joined CfEY as a Participation and Programmes Associate in January 2024 after 3 years at Participation People.
Ed has led on a variety of participatory projects with a specialism in participatory research having led participatory research projects in education, health and local authority settings, as well as having managed activity programmes at an English language summer school. His recent projects have involved supporting a group of peer researchers to investigate what extra support GCSE students need to raise their attainment in schools and supporting groups of young people with long-term health conditions review transition processes from paediatrics to adults care.
Ed has a BA in History and Politics from the University of Leicester and is passionate about supporting young people to be involved in decision making and have their voices heard.
