Will has extensive experience designing and implementing research projects, and above all strives to ensure this research leads to action that will improve the lives of young people. Currently Will is leading our work on the ‘word gap’ with Oxford University Press, and has previously led major projects on careers education and work experience, assessment, oracy and the achievement of disadvantaged groups.
He is experienced in helping organisations enhance their impact on young people, and is currently leading a three-year evaluation of four careers programmes across London, funded by the Mercers’ Company. Will also led our three-year Arts Council England-funded evaluation of creative writing in schools. Will presents and blogs extensively on a wide range of issues affecting children and young people. A qualified teacher, Will began his career working in a large secondary school in North West London. He has two Masters degrees in public policy.
