A-level results day: CfEY’s Head of Policy discusses fall in top grades

After a substantial rise in the number of top grades being awarded at A-levels in the last few years, yesterday’s results day saw a similarly substantial fall in the awarding of top grades. CfEY’s Head of Policy, Baz Ramaiah, joined Mike Graham on TalkTV to discuss this fall and its implications for pupils’ progression to university and other destinations. He also joined Sky News to discuss fairness and the examination system overall with Dr Amelia Roberts of UCL’s Institute of Education.
