Teachers play ‘whack-a-mole’ as burden falls on schools

Loic Menzies had a chat to Tes about his observations regarding how education has changed since he left the classroom twelve years ago. He argues that:

“The Covid crisis has served to highlight our hollowed out system, with schools treated as a single point of failure which can’t be allowed to break. We have seen the dropping away of the services that schools rely on to make sure that pupils are ready to learn.”
