We’re looking for Young Experts!

8th November 2022

Get paid to make change happen!

A part-time, paid opportunity for people aged 16-25 who live, work or study in Buckinghamshire or Sussex.

  • £10.59 p/h (paid monthly, around £1,300 total)
  • Approx. 1.5 days a month
  • January – November 2023

We are looking for young people who have had difficult times and want to use their experiences to make things better for other people in their community.

We are especially keen to hear from young people who:

  • are disabled, have a long-term health condition and/or are neurodivergent
  • are care experienced
  • who are young carers
  • have been in trouble with the police.

You will be trained, paid and supported to research an issue or problem that has affected you and other people you know. Then you will work with people in the local council to design a solution based on your research.

We’ve been funded by the Rothschilds Foundation and the Blagrave Trust to run this project because we think that young people who navigated education, health, care and justice systems often have the best ideas about how to improve them. We want to learn from you and give you the tools to make things better for all young people in Buckinghamshire and Sussex!

Find out more! If you have any questions, or just want to chat about the project and what getting involved might look like, Whatsapp, call or email Abi on 07835232680 or [email protected]

Interested?

If you would like to be one of our Young Experts, then please fill in the short form below online, on paper, or by sending us a video/voice recording of your answers to the questions by email ([email protected]).

The closing date for applications is Sunday 8th January 2023.

We will get back to you by Friday 13th of January to let you know if we would like to talk to you more about the role and your interests.
