Should Under-16s be banned from social media? CfEY’s Head of Policy discusses on LBC

CfEY’s Head of Policy, Baz Ramaiah, joined LBC to discuss calls for under-16s to be banned from using social media. Baz discussed the complex evidence based around the impact of social media on young people, the scope of the Online Safety Act to hold tech companies to account in practice, and his views on the need for traditional media to take responsibility for their creation of a climate that can lead to transphobic violence.
