CfEY’s Head of Policy comments on the challenges of primary school exclusions on BBC 5Live

CfEY’s Head of Policy, Baz Ramaiah, joined Nihal Arthanayake on BBC 5Live to discuss new research highlighting the large percentage of young people who are permanently excluded from primary school who go on to achieve no GCSE qualifications. Baz made the case that funding and resourcing challenges for schools make permanent exclusion more likely and also make it more difficult for schools to onroll new pupils who have previously been permanently excluded.
