New sex education guidance from the government – CfEY’s Head of Policy comments on the BBC

CfEY’s Head of Policy, Baz Ramaiah, was broadcast on 22 local BBC radio stations discussing new government plans to introduce age restrictions around the teaching of certain parts of the sex education curriculum, as well as plans to ban discussions of gender identity in schools. Baz made the case that these new restrictions run the risk of making young people less safe and also compounding the social isolation and alienation experienced by gender nonconforming young people.
