Róisín Killick joined CfEY as Director of Research and Operations in January 2024 and became Interim co-CEO in March 2024. She oversees the financial and operational work of the organisation alongside leading our work building new research partnerships and securing, designing, and delivering new large scale research projects.
Prior to joining CfEY, Róisín worked for almost seven years at Challenge Partners, an education charity supporting schools across England to collaborate and share best practice ensuring that all schools and pupils benefit from the combined wisdom of the education sector. Whilst there she had leadership responsibility for the programme and network deliver teams and oversaw the internal monitoring and evaluation functions and all evaluation partnership across the organisation.
Róisín holds a MSc in Globalisation and Development from UCL where she focused her research on the impact of the 2013 education reform bill on schooling within indigenous communities in Oaxaca, Mexico. Outside of work she is also studying part-time for a PhD at the Institute of Education in UCL and is researching how the changing socio-political climate in the English education system has led to a growing number of organisations that work in or with schools but function outside of the school accountability system. She aims to explore how these organisations hold themselves to account and evidence their impact outside of a formalised accountability system.
