Teaching Gifted and Talented Pupils

10th August 2010

Too often, teachers focus on differentiating for low ability pupils to the exclusion of challenging more able learners. One reason for this is that it’s not easy.

How can you identify the most able learners (even when their gift/talent is hidden)? What tools can you use to make sure that they make real, substantial progress?

This presentation also includes a very clear and usable explanation of Bloom’s taxonomy with example questions that will improve your questioning technique.
