10th April 2019
Schools Week highlighted key findings from new analysis by Loic pointing to a worryingly close link between poverty and attainment in rural schools. As part of their piece, Schools Week spoke to Paul Luxmoore, the executive head of the Coastal Academies Trust, with schools in rural Thanet, Kent who pointed out that “The lack of understanding about deprivation is at the heart of where education policy is going wrong.” We hope that our ongoing work in this area will help ensure we fill this crucial gap in sector knowledge.
