The impact of Armed Forces life on young people in the context of GCSE results 2023

Associate Researcher, Anamaría Granada, joined Katherine Lawrence from the SCiP Alliance and Matthew Thorne from Nene Park Academy at bfbs radio on the 24th of August to discuss findings from our previous research into Armed Forces young people and their experiences in education, and to comment on how GCSE results may impact young people’s confidence and decision as they move on from school. Anamaria calls for improved information and tracking systems across the FE and HE sector to identify Armed forces young people, and to also provide tailored support to them to ensure their needs are being addressed as early as possible.
