CfEY’s Head of Research presents at The Big Brave Inclusion Conference

On Friday, 8th March CfEY was pleased to present at The Big Brave Inclusion Conference, a SEND conference aimed at discussing what inclusion looks like, acknowledging the fears of school leaders, and collectively making brave choices to ensure all students are enabled to achieve their personal best.
Jenny Griffiths, CfEY’s Head of Research, spoke on Belonging Schools – research carried out by a team at the University of Nottingham on behalf of Teach First. She highlighted the School Quality Index developed by FFT Education Datalab as an alternative accountability for schools that includes measures relating to inclusion and then explore three key areas of the findings from the six case studies: approaches towards behaviour, conceptualisation of SEND, and underpinning values.
